Who we are
TorqOS provides software services to independent tire and auto repair shops, including the TorqOS Tire POS product. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices when you interact with TorqOS websites, apps, and services.
Information we collect
TorqOS collects the following categories of information:
- Account information — your name, email address, password (hashed), business name, role, and any profile details you provide.
- Business information — shop name, address, business type, technicians and staff users you create, and configuration such as tax rates and service defaults.
- Usage information — application activity such as sales, cash drawer events, advisor closeouts, and report exports. We use this to operate, support, and improve the product.
- Billing information — subscription status, plan, and invoices. Payments are processed by Stripe; TorqOS does not see or store full credit card numbers.
- Support information — messages and metadata you share when you contact support@torqos.app.
- Device and log data — IP address, browser type, and timestamps used for security and diagnostics.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and maintain the TorqOS services your shop subscribes to.
- Authenticate users and enforce role-based access (owner, advisor, technician).
- Bill subscriptions and manage trials, renewals, and cancellations through Stripe.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests sent to support@torqos.app.
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse and maintain the security of the platform.
- Comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements.
Payments and Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. TorqOS receives subscription status, plan information, and the last four digits / brand of a card for display in the billing portal, but TorqOS does not store full credit card numbers on TorqOS servers. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Sharing of information
TorqOS does not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the platform (for example, cloud hosting, database, and payment infrastructure), each under appropriate data-protection terms, and as required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Data security
TorqOS uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong password and tell us at support@torqos.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Your choices
You may update or correct certain account information from within the TorqOS app. You may request access to or deletion of personal information by contacting support@torqos.app. Account owners control the data created inside their tenant; if you are a staff user, please contact your shop owner first.
Children's privacy
TorqOS is intended for use by businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the application or by email when appropriate.
